Jane is a major antagonist in Stephanie Meyer's vampire romantic novel series, The Twilight Saga. She is a high-ranking member of the Volturi Guard serving under Aro, Caius and Marcus. Jane and her twin brother, Alec, are one of their most loyal followers and the most powerful. She is able to mentally induce excruciating pain in her enemies; however, this is only illusory. Because it is a mental ability, Bella is immune to her powers.
