Jade Claymore is one of the three deuteragonists (alongside Elora Danan and Kit Tanthalos) of the Disney+ series Willow, a sequel to the 1988 film of the same name. She is a warrior from the kingdom of Tir Asleen and one of the first female soldiers to be accepted among the ranks. Jade was also in a romantic relationship with Princess Kit Tanthalos despite her being engaged to Prince Graydon. She was going to train in the neighboring kingdom of Galladoorn until Prince Airk is kidnapped on the eve of Kit's wedding to Prince Graydon. Jade joins the quest in saving him from the dark forces, alongside five other heroes, including Willow Ufgood and the serving girl Dove, who is secretly Elora Danan.
She is portrayed by Erin Kellyman, who also portrayed Karli Morgenthau in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Enfys Nest in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Biography[]
When Jade and her family were at the veil that protected the realms of Tir Asleen from the forces of evil, Jade lost her parents.She was found by Tir Asleen soldiers and adopted by the guards' captain, Ballantine. She eventually dreamed of becoming a Knight and warrior. Sorsha met Jade and tasked her with training her daughter Kit. Believing they will never leave the kingdom and never face threats, Jade lets Kit win every time. During their training sessions, the girls fall in love with each other.
Personality[]
Jade is a brave young woman who is selfless and noble. She has a sense of duty, wishing to protect the realm of Tir Asleen. Having been accepted as the first women in training with the Shining Guild. Having lost her parents at a young age, she grew to have a healthy relationship with her adoptive father Ballantine. However, she held back during her training sessions with Kit, never expecting to leave in the world beyond the veil protecting Tir Asleen and its surrounding kingdoms.
After learning that "Dove" was really Elora Danan, the future empress of Tir Asleen, Jade showed respect for the older woman and helped search for her. Jade later called Kit out on her unnecessary treatment towards Elora, deeming it unnecessary. She was also forced to kill Ballantine when he was freed from the influence of the Gales

- Erin Kellyman and Warwick Davis both collaborated in Willow and Solo, a Star Wars film series. Ironically, they were both a part of the same group of heroes, with Kellyman's character being the leader. This time, the roles are reversed.
- She and Tony Revoroli also have a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Karli Morgenthau and Flash Thompson in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Spider-Man: Homecoming respectively.
- Jade is one of the first characters in the franchise to be LGBT, alongside Kit Tanthalos, Anne and Hubert.
