Jackson Whittemore is a major antagonist turned supporting protagonist in the MTV series, Teen Wolf and a major character in the film Teen Wolf: The Movie. He is the former captain of the lacrosse team at Beacon Hills High School, the former rival turned ally of Scott McCall, the boyfriend of Ethan Steiner and the ex-boyfriend/close friend of Lydia Martin.
He is portrayed by Colton Haynes, who also portrays Roy Harper in the Arrowverse.
History[]
Background[]
At the start of the series, he is the boyfriend of Lydia Martin, the co-captain of the Lacrosse alongside his rival, Scott McCall. After being bitten by Derek Hale, Jackson became a lizard-like shapeshifter known as the Kanima, where he was controlled by Gerard Argent. His biological parents, Gordon and Margaret Miller, were killed in a car crash and he was adopted by David Whittemore and his wife.
However, during a confrontation between the McCall Pack and their newly-found ally in Chris Argent, Jackson was turned into a blue-eyed werewolf. He and his adoptive parents moved to London, where he eventually met and fell in love with Ethan Steiner shortly after he lost his brother. It was later revealed in The Wolves of War that Jackson retained some of his Kanima powers and was a Kanima/werewolf hybrid. However, he was taught to control his urges under a full moon by Derek before moving to London.
