Jack Frost is the the titular protagonist of the Rankin and Bass special of the same name. He has also appeared in Frosty's Winter Wonderland and Frosty and Rudolph's Christmas in July. He is the bringer of winter and celebrated by children throughout the world for the snow days he brings.

In the past, Jack forged has an agreement with the Groundhog to "scaring" him every year with his shadow and gain six more weeks of winter if the latter sees it. Falling in love with a human girl, he is granted until spring as a human by Father Winter unless he finds a wife, a house and wealth.
