Fire Lord Izumi is a minor character in The Legend of Korra. She is the granddaughter of Fire Lord Ozai and the only child and daughter of Fire Lord Zuko. She ascended the throne in 167 AG following her father's abdication.
Bio[]
Izumi was the only daughter of Fire Lord Zuko and his unnamed wife. Unlike her father, Izumi had a very happy childhood being raised by her father. She was also call acquainted with her father's best friend, Aang, and the South Water Tribe. Due to Zuko's close friendship with the Avatar, the South Water Tribe and his family, it is highly likely that Izumi was as well, at least according to her son.
Personality[]
Izumi displays a calm, patient personality and, conscious of the dark past of her nation. Sometimes, she also sends heroes with specialized experience and knowledge on behalf of the Fire Nation according to the needs of the other nations.

- There is speculation that Mai is Izumi's mother.
- Ironically, Izumi has the recurring theme of having her name start with the letter I like her great-uncle, Iroh and having "Z-U in a row like her father Zuko, aunt Azula and great-grandfather Azulon.
