Isaac Lahey was a major protagonist in season 2 and 3 of Teen Wolf. He was emotionally and physically abused by his father Coach Lahey after the death of his older brother Camden before becoming a werewolf. Being the first beta turned by Derek Hale. However, he eventually shifted loyalties towards Scott after growing disillusioned with Derek's cause. He also begins a romantic relationship with Allison Argent prior to her death.
After the defeat of the Nogistune and his Oni, Isaac moved to France with Chris Argent, his newly appointed guardian.
While Chris temporarily leaves Beacon Hills to mourn his daughter, he later returns to help the McCall pack, but without Isaac.
Personality[]
Before his transformation Isaac used to be shy and socially distant, mostly due to the trauma of being raised by an abusive father. Because his dad punished him by locking him in the freezer, Isaac developed a claustrophobic personality, becoming deathly afraid of tight spaces. However, with his newfound werewolf powers, Isaac became more hottemperes and was initially arrogant of his abilities, becoming thanks with Scott McCall. Because of the tension growing between the Hale and McCall Packs, Isaac was hostile towards the McCall pack, especially Scott and Stiles. Isaac was still mistrustful of the older werewolf, but later can't to respect Scott's sense of doing the right thing. After slowly growing disillusioned towards Derek's cause, he joined Scott's pack after he became a True Alpha. Isaac truly did consider the Packs to be his newfound family, seeing that his father abused him and both Scott and Melissa welcome to him into living with them with open arms.
Isaac is also fiercely protective of his friends whether they are a part of the pack or not. He developed extreme hatred towards the Alpha Pack, wanting them dead for their crimes against his Packmates from both packs. As such, Isaac reacted to violently when he learned that Scott was still not healing from the wound Aiden and Ethan inflicted on him. Both he and Boyd attacked Ethan until Scott stopped them. Isaac also hated Kali because she was directly responsible for the death of his friend Erica Reyes. He also developed anger towards Derek because his actions led to Erica and Boyd dying at the hands of the Alpha Werewolves, as well as his Melissa, Chris and Noah's abduction.
At the end of the season, Isaac became more confident of his abilities, both in part, to his relationship with Allison to his brotherhood and friendship with Scott and the other pack members.
Instead of killing off his character, The writers of Teen Wolf wrote Isaac out of the story, officially saying moved to France to live with Chris' relatives. His actor expressed interest in returning to the role, but was unable to because of scheduling conflicts.
