Irene is a minor character in the Monsters Verse franchise, debuting in the animated prequel series, Skull Island. She is the mother of Annie and come face to face with an island inhabited by gigantic creatures - including the famous gorilla King Kong.
Irene is voiced by Betty Gilpin, who also portrayed Debbie Eagan in GLOW, Amanda Dockerty and Stacey Hayes-Fitzgerald from Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Sister Simone in Mrs. Davis and Fiona Helbron in Elementary.

In "The Last Blank Space on the Map," Irene was shocked seeing that the giant pillbug ate the man and begins to run away. After running away, she then asked Cap about sea monster whether it is a giant squid but he replied it isn't.
