Indigo is the secondary antagonist of the Season 1 of the CW series Supergirl.
She was a Coluan previously known as Brainiac 8 as well as the one responsible for freeing Kara Zor-El and Fort Rozz from the Phantom Zone. She was deemed the most dangerous prisoner ever sentenced to Fort Rozz. Her relationship to Brainy is unknown, however, It is highly possible they are both descended from Brainiac, one of Superman's long time enemy. She is
Role in the series[]
After Astra's death and failing to launch a nuclear attack on National city, Indigo was forced to join General Non in his Myriad project to submit humanity to Krypton's well. However, when she and Non went to confront Kara Zor-El and her mentor and father figure, J'onn J'onzz, Indigo was killed by J'onn in combat, This time for good.
Indigo was portrayed by Laura Vandervoort, who ironically and previously portrayed the Smallville iteration of Supergirl.

- Indica's dark blue skin and appearance makes her strongly resemble Mystique, a mutant from the X-Men series who also is blue skinned and wears an outfit similar to Indigo. However, because of Indigo's clothes matching her skin, it makes her look like Mystique's classic form where she is nude.
