Ichabod Crane is the protagonist of the 1999 horror film, Sleepy Hollow portrayed by Johnny Depp, who portrays Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Biography[]
Back as a boy, Ichabod witnessed his father murder his mother, Lady Crane to "save her soul from damnation." He received markings on his hands after discovering his mother's body. He never truly got over his mother's death or their circumstances, as he would often dream about the incident. Ever since then, Ichabod had been unable to believe in the supernatural.
Personality[]
Due to witnessing his father cruelly kill his mother, Ichabod hardly believes in supernatural. He became traumatic and dedicated his life to solving crimes. Ichabad was a romantic, as he fell in love at first sight with Katrina. He was also quite fatherly with young Masbath after his father died and willingly took him in as an assistant while also cautiously approached the Witch.

- Johnny Depp's Ichabod's skepticism to ghosts mirror that of Jeff Goldblum's version. Also, both after seeing the headless horseman, believe in ghosts. Also, unlike the story version where Ichabod mysteriously vanishes, both Ichabod and Katrina end up together.
- Contradictory, in the original short story, Ichabod was very superstitious and believed in ghost stories.
