Richard "Rick" Tyler (formerly Harris ) is one of the two tritagonists of The CW television series, Stargirl (alongside Beth Chapel).
He is the son of JSA member Rex Tyler, who was the first Hourman, and Wendi Tyler. He is also close friends with Courtney Whitmore and Yolanda Montez and the fiance of Beth Chapel, his high school crush.
Rick was orphaned when his parents were killed by Solomon Grundy. After learning the truth about his parents, Rex joined the Justice society succeeding his father as the next Hourman under Courtney Whitmore's rule. He is given a special pendant that graces him with superpowers for 1 hour.
