Hondo Ohnaka is a pirate from the planet Florrum and a character in the Star Wars franchise. He was a major antagonist from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and a supporting protagonist in Star Wars Rebels.
In Rebels, he has become a criminal after his pirate gang disbanded and befriends the series' protagonist, Ezra Bridger.
Hondo Ohnaka was a Weequay pirate from the planet, Sriluur whose mother taught him how to pick pockets. He became a Captain of the Ohnaka Pirate Gang. He was once friends with Jango Fett and had been in a romantic relationship with bounty hunter Aurra Sing before the two split and owned two Kowakian monkey lizards, Pilf Mukmuk and Pikk Mukmuk.
The Clone Wars[]
Encountering Dooku, Anakin, and Obi-WanEdit[]
During the Clone Wars, Hondo met three Force wielders, the first being Count Dooku, who he and his pirates captured and offered up to the Republic when contacting Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. The Senate sent Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to confirm that Dooku was Hondo's hostage. However, the two were kidnapped themselves when Hondo drugged their drinks and intended to ransom Kenobi, Skywalker and Dooku. However, one of his members were hoping to double-cross Hondo and claim the spcie for himself. He believed his enemy, Turk's lies that the Republic was sending an army instead of the ransom. After Dooku, Anakin and Obi-Wan attempted to escape. He held Skywalker and Kenobi in a containment field, while on the battlefield, Hondo's tanks were defeated after Jar Jar entered one of the tanks to negotiate with one of the pirates until accidentally ramming the tanks into each other and knock out the power grid. The black-out on Hondo's base allowed Skywalker, Kenobi and Dooku to escape. He was captured by Obi-Wan and Anakin, who held Hondo hostage until Kenobi told his former Padawan to release Hondo because Dooku had escaped and they didn't want any more trouble with the Pirate Gang. Obi-Wan told Hondo to take caution, because Dooku was not as forgiving as the Jedi.
