Hiroshi Sato is a major antagonist turned anti-hero of the Nickelodeon series, The Legend of Korra, the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. He serves as a major antagonist in Book One: Air and a supporting character in Book Four: Balance. He is the C.E.O. of Future Industries, father of Team Avatar member, Asami Sato and Amon's third-in-command.
He is voiced by Daniel Dae Kim, who also played General Fong from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Fire Lord Ozai from the Netflix's live-action adaptation.
History[]
Hiroshi Sato is a non-bending, barrel-chested businessman with a big personality whose turn to villainy started with the death of his wife and Asami's mother, who was killed by the Agni Kai Triad. His actions nearly leg to him killing his own daughter in combat. Hiroshi was later arrested by Lin Beifong and time in prison caused him to realize the surrounding of his ways.
Despite Hiroshi's failed attempts to reconcile with his daughter, he later assisted Team Avatar defend Republic City from Kuvira, only to be killed by the latter. As a result, Asami became distrusting of Kuvira during the events of Turf Day for what she did to Hiroshi but soon forgave her when the former Earth Kingdom General atoned for her own mistakes.
