Hera is a supporting character in Rick Riordan's Camp Half-Blood series. She is the daughter of Kronos and Rhea, the sister/wife of Zeus, and the sister of Hestia, Demeter, Poseidon, and Hades. Hera is depicted as the Greek Goddess of Women, Marriage, Childbirth and Familial love and the Queen of Olympus. Her Roman counterpart is Juno and has no demigod children despite her desire to have one. However, it is against her nature to being faithless.
Hera was born as youngest daughter of Kronos and Rhea; however, Kronos, fearing the ancient prophecy that one of his children would overthrow him, consumed her as he did with her siblings.
She and Zeus married and they had several children together, including Ares and Hephaestus. However, Zeus would always cheat on her with mortal lovers and father many children.

Despite her small grudge against heroes, Hera favored the hero/legacy Jason the argonaut, and the two demigods, her stepson Jason Grace and her grandson, Leo Valdez. However, she lost her favor with argonaut Jason after what he did to Medea.
Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase are her least favorite. Hera has held a grudge against Annabeth Chase since the events of the Battle of the Labyrinth after the girl insulting her. With Percy, she has a mixed relationship with him. While she does believe Percy is "a loose cannon" and "impulsive", but also "unswervingly loyal"and "the glue that will unite the seven."
