Hera is a supporting character in Clash of the Titans and the 2010 remake. She was the Queen of Mount Olympus, the goddess of Marriage and Family, the wife of Zeus.
Background[]
Hera was the youngest of Kronos and Rhea's daughters but was the first one to be disgorged from her father, Kronos. When he's was born, Kronos supposedly are his children to prevent an ancient prophecy that one of his children would overthrow him. Due to being an immortal goddess, Hera and her siblings didn't die come; They rather agree within their father's stomach. The only person who was able to escape their father's wrath was their youngest brother Zeus, who Queen Rhea had hidden away from her husband.
Many years later, Zeus freed his brothers and sisters by pretending to be Kronos's Cup bearer. He gave him a mixture of honey and mustard, and tainted his father's cup with it. After Kronos drank, he gorged out Hera and her siblings. Seeing the tyrant her father became, Hera joined her brothers' side in defeating the Titans. She married her brother, Zeus and became queen of the Gods. However, she did not like it when her husband had affairs with mortal women and having demigod children with them. Unlike her husband, Hera had no demigod children of her own.
Personality[]
Hera is one of the goddesses who believes in family and marriage due to the latter being what she was god of. Due to this, she did not take Zeus' infidelities. Being there jealous wife she was, Hera would always try to get revenge on Zeus' mistresses and demigod children. One of these were of Hercules, with whom she had the most animosity with and making it her duty to make Hercules' life miserable. In the original film, she expressed distaste in the fact that Zeus had Perseus with another woman. However, Hera did praise the young man for his bravery and saving Princess Andromeda.
