• He is one of the only three human villains in the Jurassic Park cinematic franchise who's confirmed to not be killed by dinosaurs (or die at all), alongside Soyona Santos and Kenji Kon. Wu, alongside Kenji, ended up redeeming himself. This makes Wu and Kenji the only two villains in the series to redeem themselves without dying.
• His redemption arc can be traced to Howard King's failed attempt to join the heroes and stop pursuing Dodgson's villainous goal. Therefore, he can be argued as King's second chance in life.
