Harumi is one of the two secondary antagonists of Lego Ninjago.
She is the former princess of Ninjago, the founder and leader of the now defunct terrorist organization, Sons of Garmadon, the former advisor and right-hand turned enemy of the Overlord and former ruler of the Council of the Crystal King. Her mother and father sacrificed themselves to save her from the Great Devourer. Unbeknownst to her, the Great Devourer was corrupted by the Overlord, leading to the decimation of her biological parents. She was later adopted by the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago, only to find having a family and the royal life of a princess to not fill the void of vengeance in her heart.
Personality[]
She hates the Ninja and especially Lloyd for failing to stop the Great Devourer from killing her parents, and failing to save Ninjago themselves, and hates Lloyd because she knew how Lloyd indirectly caused the Great Devourer incident. In spite of this, Harumi developed genuine feelings toward him. She initially just used Lloyd as a pawn in her scheme to resurrect Garmadon and pretended to be his Love Interest to further that goal. However it's heavily implied and later confirmed by Season 15 that she developed genuine feelings for him along the way, leading to her trying to get Lloyd to join her side multiple times during Garmadon's reign in Seasons 8 and 9, actually tries to protect him by keeping silent about where he's hiding to Emperor Garmadon and then tries again to get Lloyd to join her in the Council of the Crystal King during the Crystal King's threat in Season 15.
After learning the Overlord was responsible for corrupting The Great Devourer and indirectly causing the deaths of her parents, Harumi betrays him and sides with the Ninja. After the Overlord and his armies were defeated, Harumi makes amends with Lloyd, and later speaks with the Police Commissioner at the rebuilt Monastery of Spinjitzu.

Abilities[]
- Combat: Being a princess for years, Harumi wasn't trained to be a skilled fighter. However, she likely had some acrobatic skills, as she was able to escape through the Royal Palace's rooftops with ease and even made a flip to jump from a roof and run from Lloyd for a short time.
- Swordsmanship: She was likely also adept to fight with a single katana, as she possessed one when looking for Garmadon in "The Weakest Link." With that, she could be considered a remarkable fighter as she was able to defeat Lloyd, the Green Ninja, twice.
- Superhuman Strength (briefly): Upon being resurrected by the Overlord, Harumi was briefly bestowed superhuman strength by a pink crystal.

Trivia[]
- Hutchins unknowingly foreshadows Harumi's betrayal in "The Jade Princess" , telling Lloyd, "If you know what's good for you, stay away from her." At the same time, she is more concerned about the mask than her adoptive parents.
