Hamm is one of the main characters of the Disney•Pixar Toy Story franchise. He is a wisecracking piggy bank originally belonging to Andy Davis, but now belongs to Bonnie Anderson.
In "Hawaiian Vacation," Hamm is seen playing the card game with Buttercup and Chuckles the Clown and Mr. Potato Head's Eye and arm, he is seen again later as a ham sandwich and when Barbie and Ken fell into the snow Hamm said he will get the shovel and he was seen helping them out of the ice.
In "Small Fry", Hamm thinks Buzz had shrieked in the ball pit and when Fun Meal Buzz hits Hamm he realises it isn't Andy's Buzz and asks someone to tackle him.
In "Partysaurus Rex," Hamm is seen (along with Bonnie's other toys) watching Mrs. Potato Head blow up a giant bubble then Rex knockes it down and after Rex knocked Hamm over with his Tails the other toys start calling him a party pooper. Hamm is seen later checking if Rex is okay in the bathroom before the house floods.

Hamm is a wisecracking piggy bank. He and Mr. Potato Head appear to be best friends, as they are often seen playing games and high-fiving each other whenever something spectacular happens. However, they often clash in the films.
Hamm is somewhat of a technological genius. He can identify types of trash bags, child locks, and is the ultimate channel-hopper in Toy Story 2, as he switches channels far more rapidly than the other toys can.
He sometimes dislikes Buzz acting like his Space ranger self, as he said that it was the "Return of the Astro-nut" to Woody and rolled his eyes when Utilty Belt Buzz did the exact same thing
