The Hale Pack was a centuries-old Werewolf pack that had been led by a number of different Alphas over the course of its existence, including (but not limited to) Talia Hale, Laura Hale, Peter Hale, and Derek Hale.
History[]
Foundation[]
Many years ago, the Hales settled down in the town of Beacon Hills due to its closeness to a nexus of raw power, the Nemeton. As they colonized Beacon Hills, they built a vault where only those of Hale's blood may enter. Some of the Hale progeny don’t inherit their parents’ lycanthropy. The first Hales decide to use their powers to become the protectors of Beacon Hills.
The first members of the Hale Pack begin a tradition of protecting Beacon Hills from supernatural threats. They also have valuable objects over the years collected in their vaults. The hale pack’s crest was a triskelion representing the three statuses of a werewolf, alpha-beta, and Omega. It also symbolized that an Alpha can fall to a Beta, and a Beta could become an Omega if they were to leave their pack. The parents taught their children how to control their transformations through the triskelion and encouraged young werewolves to find an anchor that controlled their rages.
Somehow, they endured a longstanding rivalry with the Argent Family, a group of ruthless hunters.

Trivia[]
- It is unknown if Talia turned her betas into a werewolf during her reign. However, Peter insists that he convinced Ennis to turn Derek's girlfriend, Paige because he knew Talia would never have bitten her son's boyfriend herself. Or, at least without her consent.
- Despite being an alpha, Laura never had any Betas of her own, as she was killed long before the series and was in hiding with her brother in New York.
- Scott McCall and Kate Argent were the only people who Peter Hale successfully turned into a supernatural creature (a Beta Werewolf and Werejaguar respectively).
