The Hairy Hooligan Tribe is Hiccup Haddock's and the Dragon Riders' tribe and the central factional protagonists of the How to Train Your Dragon book series by Cressida Cowell and the DreamWorks' film series of the same name.
Book Series[]
Hooligans have lived on Berk ever since the day when the Great Hairybottom landed on its shores and lost his boot in the bog, declaring that there will be barbarians in the archipelago as long as his boot remains in the bog. The Hooligan National Anthem commemorates that event.
In the books, throughout their history, they've either lived on the Isle of Berk or the Island of Tomorrow. Their current Chief in the books is Stoick the Vast, and his son Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the current King of the Wilderwest.
It is unclear what the Hooligans actually do for a living apart from fighting, but the abundance of fish in Hiccup's diet suggests an economic base.

How to Train Your Dragon[]
For the past three-homered years, Vikings and dragons were at war with one another, as they pillaged the Hooligans for years. Around this time, their leader, Stoick the Vast was determined to find the dragon's nest or the hidden world, a safe Haven for dragons and end the war all together. However, while Stoick was away, his son, Hiccup befriended Toothless, a male Night Fury. Hiccup's and Toothless' friendship and working together in defeating the Red Death on the battlefield helped end the war and make The Hooligans realize that humans and Dragons could become friends.
Dragons: The Series[]
After they made peace, the Hooligans had trouble keeping the dragons under control. However, Hiccup and his riders started the Berk Dragon Training Academy to help the Hooligans live with dragons.
