Hades is the main antagonist of Disney's animated film, Hercules. He is the fast-talking god of the Underworld. He rebels against his brother, Zeus and take over Mount Olympus and the World but the fates fortell that Hades' nephew, Hercules, will bring about his downfall.

Hades has to be the most powerful of all the Disney Villains, being a god and the eldest.
Hades is the second Disney villain to be biologically related to the main protagonist, being preceded by Scar from The Lion King.
Hercules depicts Hades as the evil ruler of the Underworld who hates his job and wants to usurp Zeus from the throne. However, in actual myths, Hades was content with his duties as the god of the Underworld and was more of a neutral character.
Additionally, Hera was the main antagonist of the Hercules myth instead of Hades.
Originally, Hades was going to be less comedic and more serious until James Wood was cast.
Although Hades is the main antagonist of the film, he has only around 17 minutes of screen-time
His voice actor stated that Hades is his favorite voice role and would have done his voice at any moment and opportunity except for Mickey's House of Villains.
