Guardian (DC)

Guardian (James Jacob "Jim" Harper) is a DC Comics superhero introduced in April 1942 by writer/artist Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby.

Originally thought of to be a superhero relying on strength and no powers, the cloned version of Jim Harper had Enhanced strength and reflexes and accelerated healing factor. He is a member of the Science Police, Project Cadmus, All-Star Squadron, Newsboy Legion, and Justice League.

In the arrowverse, James Olsen is an adaptation of the character. After he retires, his sister Kelly takes over his responsibilities with encouragement from John Diggle

He first appeared in Star-Spangled Comics #7 (April 1942)
