Gryffindor is one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter franchise, being primarily featured in the films and book series and appearing in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Gryffindor house was named after it's original founder, Godric Gryffindor. The house valued people who were daring, brave and chivalrous.
In the series, Harry, Ron and Hermione were sorted into Gryffindor and eventually became best friends. For the Weasley Family, every member has been sorted into Gryffindor, such as Ron Weasley's older brothers. Additional Gryffindor students included Neville Longbottom and Seamus Finnigan.
Albus Dumbledore, James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew were all sorted into the House as well. However, Pettigrew exhibited none of the Gryffindor traits later in life. Harry and Ginny's children, James
