'Gladys, referred to as Granny, is a minor character in the Ice Age animation franchise. She is Sid's grandmother who was abandoned by their family to remain with the herd Sid is now a part of. Most people think she is nonsensical, because they pass off the creature she calls precious as a figment of her imagination. At the end of the film it turns out that precious is real and that she is her pet whale.
