Ghazan is one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Ming-Hua and P'Li) of Book 3: Balance from the Nickelodeon series The Legend of Korra.
He is one of the four most dangerous criminals in the world, along with Zaheer, P'Li, and Ming-Hua and serves as a lieutenant of the anarchist terrorist organization known as the Red Lotus. He is the archenemy of Bolin
Biography[]
Background[]
13 years prior to the series, Ghazan attempted to help his fellow red lotus members abduct Avatar Korra as a child and planning to raise her in their thinking. However, their kidnapping attempt with stopped by Avatar Korra's father Tonroq, Chief Sokka, and Lord Zuko. Ghazan, like all his compatriots, was deemed extremely dangerous and was placed in a specialized prison cell exclusively for him. To prevent Ghazan from escaping, the Order placed Ghazan in a wooden cell in a water vessel, virtually cutting Ghazan off from any earth to Earthbend with and making escape impossible. Like his Red Lotus allies, he was brutally interrogated about his motives for kidnapping Korra, none of the criminals revealed their motivations.
Book Three: Change[]
During the final battle, Ghazan and his allies planned to poison Korra forcing her into the Avatar State andK kill her in it thus end the Avatar cycle once and for all. However, Bolin and Mako fought against Ghazan but the brothers' lavabending and Firebending. He declared he wasn't going to prison again and attempted to take out Bolin and Mako as the brothers fought against him. Ghazan caused a cave in, hoping to trap Mako and Bolin with him but the tunnels collapsed on him with the boys successfully escaping.

Trivia[]
- Ghazan was the second person to take their own life in The Legend of Korra, after Tarrlok.
- He was also the eighth person to die on-screen in the series. The others, in chronological order, were Amon, Tarrlok, Wan, Unalaq, Hou-Ting, P'Li, Ming-Hua, and Hiroshi Sato.
- He was also the second known person to have attempted murder-suicide, the others being Tarrlok and Gilak.
