Professor Gerald Robotnik is the main antagonist of the 2024 action-adventure comedy film Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the third installment of the Sonic Cinematic Universe. He is the film's adaptation of Professor Gerald Robotnik from the video game franchise.
Filled with vengeance, Gerald would break out of his prison and free Shadow, intending to get his hands on the very weapon he designed for G.U.N., the Eclipse Cannon. Plotting to take his vengeance on G.U.N., Gerald also intended to use the Eclipse to destroy humanity in a spiteful suicide, consumed by the grief of losing his granddaughter.
He is portrayed by Jim Carrey, who also plays his grandson.
