- Douglas is one of the two main villains in the series to be pure evil.
- Gerard is considered a pure evil villain for his cruelty, disregard to others, including his own family. He blinded Deucalion and targeted werewolves regardless of their age (going after all the young Hale Werewolves and trying to launch a massive genocide against Scott and his friends even though they were innocent people who used their powers to better help humanity. His worst crimes also include abusing his own family (especially his granddaughter and son), goading his daughter-in-law's suicide and even shooting his own daughter being Supernatural.
- The Beast was born Sebastien, and it's implied he had that that killer and sadistic instinct even before he was a villain.

- Despite coming from different franchise, Garrett has similar characteristics of Hunter zolomon from the 2014 series The Flash:
- both are evil power hungry serial killers, with blonde hair, and blue eyes.
- They share a twisted ideology and crave power (Hunter wanted to be the only speedster in the multiverse and Douglas wanted his own army and dominance over the Wild Hunt).
- At the end of their arcs, both Douglas and Hunter are turned into mindless wraiths (Douglas was turned into a Ghost Rider by the other wild hunters and Hunter became the Black Flash).
- Additionally both are very intelligent, they fool the heroes into thinking they're helping them
- Douglas passing off as a high school teacher and using Liam and Hayden to get rid of Theo, because he is the only one who can identify him.
- Hunter pretended to be The Flash of Earth 3 Jay Garrick and helping Team Flash fight off Earth 2 counterparts and getting Barry faster just so he can steal his speed and cure himself of his Velocity Nine drug
- Ironically both of them are considered pure evil villains.
