Gallimimus (meaning "chicken mimic") is an extinct genus of ornithomimid theropod dinosaur that lived in Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period.

The Gallimimus was an omnivore, eating both plants and meat, and perhaps eggs too.
Physiology[]
Gallimimus is the largest known ornithomimid theropod, meaning they were mainly carnivorous and had large three-toed feet and small front limbs.
Adult Gallimimus were about 6 metres (20 ft) long, 1.9 metres (6 ft 3 in) tall at the hip and weighed about 400–490 kilograms (880–1,080 lb). As evidenced by its relative Ornithomimus, it would have had feathers. The head was small and light with large eyes that faced to the sides.

The Gallimumus appears in Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In the sequel series, Jurassic World, the Gallimimus is prominently seen in the first three installments of the series. It also appaears in the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and its sequel series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. The Gallimimus also appears in several video games.
