Fluttershy is one of the six deuteragonists of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic . She is the element of Kindness and, though she is shy and timid, Fluttershy cares about her friends and other animals. She is often accompanied by many animals, with her favorite being a pet bunny, Angel . She later helps reform the spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, Discord, becoming life long friends with him.
History Background Fluttershy was born in Cloudsdale, living there with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shy and her younger brother, Zephyr Breeze. Out of all the Mane Six, she has been best friends with Rainbow Dash since childhood. However, Fluttershy was often bullied by two boy PegasiDumbbell and Hoops used to call her "Klutzershy" because she looked different than the other children. Rainbow saw this, stood up for her, and challenged the boys to a race to put them in their places. However, during the race, Fluttershy fell from Cloudsdale and into a nearby woods in Equestria. However, she was saved by a gang of butterflies, who helped her land gently on the ground. Surrounded by other animals, she began to sing to them when Rainbow's Sonic Rainboom scared her and the other animals. Soon, Fluttershy comforted all the animals by singing gently to them. Learning she had a talent for communicating with animals, Fluttershy gained her cutie Mark and the love of animals. At the same time, her future friends, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle gained their cutie marks, unknowingly being tied to the gate of Equestria that happened because of Rainbow's move.
At some point, Fluttershy left Cloudsdale and went to live in Ponyville, where she lived in a cottage at the edge of the Everfree Forest and became an animal caretaker for a living.
Powers and abilities Animal communication:
The Stare: Fluttershy also has an ability known as "The Stare," which usually makes those who look at her stop in their tracts. However, it does not work on the Discord, cuz of his powers and his status as a spirit of chaos and Disharmony Trivia Fluttershy is one of the two members of the Mane Six who doesn't have a solo episode, along with Pinkie Pie.
