Samuel Thomas "Sam" Wilson (known by his alias Falcon, currently known as Captain America) is a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He is the tritagonist of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a supporting character in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Avengers: Endgame, a major character in both Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, and one of the two titular protagonists (alongside Bucky Barnes) of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He is set to return as the titular protagonist of the upcoming film Captain America: New World Order.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier[]
Sam met Steve Rogers (AKA Captain America) when running around the capitol and ws impressed with Steve's incredible speed and striking up a conversation. Joining Captain America, Sam enters a team-up with Steve and Natasha Romanoff. While the trio and Sitwell go the Triskelion, they are ambushed by the Winter Soldier and subsequently arrested by the Strike team but are saved by Maria Hill. He joined the assault in which a battle ensued between HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D.
While Steve was gravely injured after bing rescued by Bucky, he visited Steve in the hospital and later joined him on the search for Bucky.
Avengers: Age of Ultron[]
Falcon is one of the five recruits for the Avengers after participating in the battle of Sokovia.
Ant-Man[]
Months after the Battle of Sokovia and becoming an Avenger, Falcon was in charge of protecting the New Avengers Facility. During his watch, he realized that someone had infiltrated into the facility with unknown reasons. That someone was Scott Lang, who presented him as Ant-Man. He believed that the name was ridiculous, which Lang replied that he did not choose that name and also he declared a fan of Falcon. Wilson asked Lang the reason of his infiltration; Lang replied that he only was looking for a device that he needed.
That answer did not like Falcon and immediately attacked Lang, who using the skills of his suit and attack techniques that Hope showed managed to defeat an Avenger. Days later, he began the search for Ant-Man because he believed he could be useful to the Avengers.
Later, in a post-credits scene, Sam and Steve have Barnes in their custody planning their next move, Rogers suggest calling in Stark but decide not to, and Wilson says he may know a guy.

- Falcon's suit in the films is more similar to the suit of his Ultimate comics variant than that of his Mainstream Universe version.
- Falcon was the first African American superhero in mainstream comics.
- Falcon is one of the many successors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the others being Ant-Man, Wasp, Spider-Man (spiritual), and Kate Bishop.
- It was considered for Falcon to appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home as the new Captain America to help Peter on his adventure, but it was dropped due to wanting to focus on the arc of a new generation of heroes.
