Fairy Godmother is a major character in the Shrek franchise. She is the main antagonist of the second film and the posthumous character in the third film. Contradictory to popular belief Fairy Godmother is not an individual who is maternal and helps people. She is interest perfection in fairy tales and firmly believes that ogres do not live happily ever after. She plots to take over the Kingdom of Far Far Away through her son Prince Charming marrying Princess Fiona, the heir to the throne.
