Fairies are a creature species in ABC's Once Upon a Time. Most fairies are good and pure, watching over and protecting children, or granting wishes of those with pure hearts. They train under the Blue Fairy , the head of the fairies, in order to become fairy godmothers.
However, the only known fairy who is pure evil was the Black Fairy , a woman who was once human and the mother of Rumplestiltskin and the creator of the Dark Curse. She was ultimately destroyed by her own son, bringing peace to Storybrooke.
