Fairies are a creature species in ABC's Once Upon a Time. Most fairies are good and pure, watching over and protecting children, or granting wishes of those with pure hearts. They train under the Blue Fairy, the head of the fairies, in order to become fairy godmothers.
However, the only known fairy who is pure evil was the Black Fairy, a woman who was once human and the mother of Rumplestiltskin and the creator of the Dark Curse. She was ultimately destroyed by her own son, bringing peace to Storybrooke.
