Fafnir (ファフニール Fafunīru), or Takeshi Ooyama (大山 猛 Ōyama Takeshi), is a supporting character in the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid series and the main protagonist of its magna spinoff Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Fafnir the Recluse. He is an old friend of Tohru and the roommate/friend of Makoto Takiya.

Fafnir is named after the Worm of the same name from Germanic and Nordic folklore. He is slain by a member of the Völsung family, typically Sigurð. In Nordic mythology, he is the son of Hreiðmarr, and brother of Regin and Ótr and is attested throughout the Völsung Cycle, where, Fáfnir slays his father out of greed, taking the ring and hoard of the dwarf Andvari and becoming a worm or dragon.
