King Ezran is the king of Katolis and one of the three main protagonists (alongside Callum and Rayla) of Netflix's franchise, The Dragon Prince. He is the best friend and maternal half-brother of Prince Callum, the nephew of Amaya, and the son of Queen Sarai and King Harrow. He and his friends form Team Zym, a group dedicated to returning Zym to his biological mother, the Queen of all dragons.
Two years after becoming king, Ezran and his friends venture on a quest to prevent the liberation of Aarovus.
Biography
Early life
Ezran was born in March 19, 10 BZ to King Harrow and Queen Sarai; as the king's only blood-relative son, Ezran was next in line for the throne. Despite this, it never effected Ezran's relationship with his older brother, Callum and the two were rather close. He and his family were descendants of the Orphan Queen,a young human girl who previously exposed Aaravos, the master manipulator and played a key role in his imprisonment. When he was a baby, his mother often held him and he would inherit his mother's sweet tooth. However, Ezran never had the chance to know Sarah, because she was killed by the King of the Dragons, leaving Harrow to raise both Callum and Ezran on his own. The brothers often played together. He grew extremely close with his aunt, Amaya, who regarded Ezran and Callum as if they were her own children. They often went to the Banther Lodge during the harshest winters and grew up alongside Soren and Claudia.
At some point, King Harrow gave his son a pet glow toad, Bait, who later became one of his best friends. He would often sneak down at the bakery and steal Barius' jelly filled tarts, despite the basket working effortlessly for his customers.
