Ethari is a supporting character in The Dragon Prince franchise, appearing as a minor character in Season 3, a major character in Season 7 and the tritagonist of the graphic novel, The Bloodmoon Huntress.
He is the husband of Runaan and the adoptive father of Rayla. He is also a craftsman who made his husband's bow and Rayla's twin butterfly blades.
Wingaling Activation: Ethari can create/activate a Wingaling, which alerts him of potentially dangerous situations. Its counterpart can be activated by casting the spell, causing it to light up. In times of peril, they work as an emergency alarm to alert Ethari that something is amiss. In The Blood Moon Huntress, Ethari gave them to Rayla in case his adoptive daughter ran into trouble.
Incantation: Liga Et Annecto
Gem Enchantments: Ethari can activate gems in the light of a harvest moon. The gems are embedded with an enchantment into the core of the arrow.

Shadowhawk Summoning: Ethari can successfully casts a spell to send a shadowhawk message to the Dragon Queen with news of her son Azymondias's survival.

Craftsmanship: Ethari crafted most of his husband's weapons and his adoptive daugther's twin butterfly blades.
Archery: Like his husband, Ethari knows how to fire a bow and arrow, as he sent a Shadowhawk arrow to Zubeia, which would have reached her had Nyx hadn't intercepted it.

Wingaling: Wingalings are silver gadgets resembling mice that are equipped with a pair of wings and adorned with several different gems. Originally Ethari created these as protection devices for Rayla. They can be activated by casting "Liga Et Annecto", which will cause them to light up and act as a warning for Ethari.

Ethari seems to be more relaxed compared to Runaan, even finding it amusing that Lira implied Callum wanted to have ten kids with Rayla.
