Eris (/ˈɪərɪs, ˈɛrɪs/; Greek: Ἔρις Éris, "Strife") is the Greek goddess of strife and discord. Her Roman equivalent is Discordia, which means the same. Eris's Greek opposite is Harmonia,
She is the twin sister of Ares and the daughter of Zeus and Hera as well as the goddess of war who accompanies her brother into battle. However, she is also the daughter of Nyx, in some versions of the story.
