Adaptations[]
Arrowverse[]
Emiko was created based on Thea Queen, who in turn, was based on Mia Dearden. Both girls have similar costumes and both are the half-sisters of Oliver Queen. Emiko herself was later adapted into the Arrowverse. She appears as an antagonist in the television series, Arrow, serving as the main antagonist of the eighth season. She is a member-turned-leader of the Ninth Circle. Her mother is not Shado (who was made Oliver's love interest in the series), rather, another lover of Robert Queen, Kazumi Adachi. Kazumi was her maternal grandmother in the comics, another major difference.
She is revived by Oliver during the Crisis and meets her step-mother, Moira, and her adoptive sister, Thea, who warmly welcome her into the family.
