Demetri Alexopoulos[]
Demetri and Hawk share a complex relationship: best friends to enemies to friends again to surrogate brothers. The two used to be bullied by Kyler and his goons. Eli and Demetri later became friends with Miguel Diaz. However, when Eli, who becomes Hawk, joins Cobra Kai and Demetri joins Miyagi-Do, their bond starts to be strained until they become enemies in Season 2. Both then face each other in the school fight.
In Season 3, due to pressure from his team, Hawk ends up breaking Demetri's arm. However, in the LaRusso fight, Hawk finally realizes the error of his ways, and defends Demetri from Cobra Kai. The two reconcile, mending their friendship in the process.

Eli/Hawk has respect for Johnny throughout the series. However in Season 3, his faith in Johnny is shaken once Miguel was thrown over a fight of steps by Robby on accident, as he was trying to stop the school brawl between Tori and Sam from escalating further. During the LaRusso fight, Eli/Hawk switched sides and becomes Johnny's student again in Season 4 and 5 when Daniel and Johnny combined their dojos.

Kyler Park[]
Kyler is Hawk's arch-enemy and rival and because they become real competitive whenever they come to do karate. In fact, Kyler is bullying Hawk and Miguel so school whenever they aren't on the dojo mats. Eli also hates him for his cheating ways and his cruelty.
When Kyler meets Hawk again at the Cobra Kai dojo in Season 3, he and Brucks taunt him. However, Kyler freaks out after Hawk beats Brucks during combat tests. The two become allies for a brief period of time, until Hawk betrays Cobra Kai to join Eagle Fang Karate, whereupon they become enemies again.
In Season 4, Kyler and his teammates ambush Hawk as revenge for his betrayal, causing him to lose his crest and taking him out of his confidence. However, Eli gets it back during the All Valley tournament, allowing him to easily beat Kyler in the quarterfinals. Later, in Season 5, the two meet up again in Cobra Kai dojo during the fight, where Hawk berates Kyler for being the same bully as always despite being beaten up by his former victims, leading to a fight between them, which ends with Eli winning with Demetri's help.
