Eglantine is a character in the Guardians of Ga'hoole book series by Kathryn Lasky. She is the younger sister of Kludd and Soren and the youngest daughter of Noctus and Marella and the aunt of Coryn, Blythe, Bash and Bell.
Background[]
Eglantine is the daughter of Noctus and Marella and Soren and Kludd's younger sister. She is free-spirited like her older brother, Soren and believes in the stories her father tells her and her siblings every night.
Personality[]
Eglantine is sweet, kind, gentle, loyal, and smart. She believes in her friends and is very trusting. She is also very loving to her friends, and very brave as well - in The Shattering, she nearly got herself killed while trying to escape with Nyra's egg and refusing to drop it, even if it meant she would be killed by Nyra herself. She is also very patient; as shown when she deals with her chaw, she patiently tries to get the young owls to listen to her. Eglantine seems to be fond of rhymes, as shown in The Capture. It is also stated that her favorite food is centipedes.
Physical Appearance[]
Eglantine is a full fledged barn owl. As a hatchling, she is a bit fluffed up feathers and a heart-shaped face that is the color of her father, Noctus. She also has amber eyes, the same color of that of her mother and eldest brother.
