Master Egalt is a major protagonist in Season 2 and a minor character in Season 3B of Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
He was one of the two Dragon Masters, alongside his lover, Rontu. He is the second fang teacher for the Rising Dragon Technique. He teaches Lloyd, Kai, Nya, and Arin until the latter's lack of skill in Spinjitzu led to him accidentally striking Egalt, leaving him temporarily half-blind, which ultimately forced him to demote Arin to be taught under Rontu. Eventually, Kai, with help from Nya, achieves the Rising Dragon technique before being turned to stone by the Blood Moon, but reverted after the ritual. Some time later, Egalt trains Zane before being approached by Lloyd to be the Ninja's master in the Tournament of the Sources, but refused and instead gave him a lesson to achieve mastery.
He later passed away from Wasting Sickness, with his former students and lover by his side.

Cryokinetic breath - Egalt can produce and breathe out ice at will.
Ninja skills - Egalt has combat and martial art skills, being a martial art teacher and a former ninja dragon.
Spinjitzu - Egalt is able to perform Spinjitzu after learning it.
Rising Dragon - Egalt is able to perform Rising Dragon technique which he co-created with Rontu. As a master of this technique, he can use Rising Dragon without needing to perform Spinjitzu.
Flight - Being a dragon, Egalt is capable of flight using his wings.
Wing Barriers - Egalt can use his wings as shields, as seen when he blocked Kai’s fire attack.
Longevity - Egalt can live for millennia.
Bipedalism - Much like Jiro, Egalt can stand on two legs like a human.
Speech - Egalt is one of the few dragons capable of natural speech, unlike the Arc and Source Dragons, who communicate telepathically.
