Dorothy Gale is the main protagonist of the classic 1939 movie musical, The Wizard of Oz . She is a young farm girl from Kansas who lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. One day, a tornado hits her farm and sweeps up her, her pet Cairn Terrier Toto and her house up into the sky. After the fall, she finds herself in the magical Land of Oz. There she is greeted by Glinda, The Good Witch of the North and The Munchkins, who thank her because her house unknowingly fell on and killed The Wicked Witch of the East. Just then the Witch’s sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, appears and asks who killed her sister. Dorothy claims it was an accident, but the Witch is still angry with her.
