Diego is the tritagonist of the Ice Age and its franchise.
Diego is one of the founders of the herd, alongside his best friends Manny and Sid . He is also close friends with Ellie, Crash, and Eddie. During the third film, Diego was present with Ellie when his adopted niece, Peaches, was born and fell in love with another Sabertooth tiger named Shira . They are later mates, expecting their first child together.
