The Departed Realm was one of the 16 realms featured in Ninjago. This realm was where the souls of beings from all known realms, including the Cursed Realm, Ninjago, and the Underworld, go to after they die. It was shown to be very difficult to access through most normal means such as traveler's tea. After the Merge, the Departed Realm and the Cursed Realm merged into the Spectral Lands.
Following the Merge caused by Lloyd's Uncle and the ninja's former Master Wu, it has become a part of the Merged Realms, for unexplained reasons.

Djinn Blade
Due to Jay reversing all the events that happened led to the Djinn Blade getting sent back to Djinjago. Due to this, all of Khanjikhan and Nadakhan's forefathers and their enemies, souls were sent to the Departed Realm because of the destruction of the blade.
