the Decepticons are the main antagonistic faction in the Transformers franchise. Like the Autobots the Decepticons are Cybertronians hailing from same Planet they do. They are obsessed with taking over both Earth and Cybertron.
The Decepticons are led by Megatron who is the arch enemy of Optimus Prime (leader of the Autobots). However some Decepticons have realized what they're doing is wrong and have defected to the Autobots' side during the war, like Wheelie and Brains, who work former Decepticons.
