Dawn Summers is a supporting protagonist in the Buffyverse, appearing in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as the deuteragonist of season five and a supporting character in seasons six and seven while also being an off-screen cameo character in Angel. She is Buffy's sister and a member of the Scooby Gang.

In season 5, it is shown that Dawn considers her sister's best friend Xander Harris to be cute despite him being in a relationship with Anya at the time. However, as an adult, Dawn and Xander fall in love, marry and have a daughter they name after Buffy and Dawn's late mother.
