David "Dave" Stutler is one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world and the main protagonist of the 2010 live-action Disney film, The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Dave is a twenty-year-old college student who is taught magic Balthazar Blake and as the Prime Merlinean, he is the only one capable of defeating Morgana and saving the world.
He is portrayed by Jay Baruchel, who also voices Hiccup Haddock from How to Train Your Dragon.
