Daniel LaRusso is the main protagonist of The Karate Kid trilogy and one of the main protagonists of the Cobra Kai television series. He was once a bullied high school senior who was trained by Mr. Miyagi , who teaches him valuable life lessons and self-defense.
Daniel carries these life lessons thirty years even after his initial training. Daniel also has two children and owns the Miyagi-Do Karate dojo. Renewing his rivalry with Johnny Lawrence , he begins teaching his students to combat the reopened Cobra Kai Dojo.
He is portrayed by Ralph Macchio.
