Daibazaal is a major location in Voltron: Legendary Defender. It was the home planet of the Galran race before its destruction due to a comet.
Lotor used it as a base of operations in Voltron: Legendary Defenders.
History[]
Ten thousand years ago, a Trans-Reality Comet crashed into the planet and created a rift leading to an Alternate Reality, and immeasurable amounts of Quintessence and scientific insight, but at the cost of slowly collapsing the planet. The ore of the comet was used to build Voltron, with Zarkon becoming the Black Paladin.
Soon Zarkon and his wife became blindly obsessed with Quintessence and presumably died from over-exposure.

- The planet is named after King Daibazaal from the original series. .
- It is similar to Krypton from the DC Universe and Cybertron from Transformers; they are all the ancestral Planet of the main protagonists and are considered uninhabitable and destroyed due to a disaster.
- Daibazaal is the ancestral Planet of Keith and was destroyed by a trans reality comet crashing into the planet and causing a rift into an alternate universe.
- Krypton is the ancestral planet of Kara Zor-El and Kal-El from the Superman and Supergirl franchises and was destroyed due to the kryptonians abusing the planet's resources.
- Cybertron is homeworld of Optimus Prime and the Autobots from the Transformersfranchise and was destroyed due to a war Megatron started.
