She is a former street thief with the ability to channel the Lightforce, an ability she gained after being exposed to a explosion of energy caused by the Roxxon Gulf Platform's collapse, the same night her father, Nathan Bowen, died. Her powers are connected to her best friend and partner Tyrone Johnson, who was also exposed to the energy from an explosion. Despite having vastly different backgrounds, both share similar experiences with the loss of Tandy's father and Ty's brother.
She is portrayed by Olivia Holt, who also portrayed Kim Crawford in Kickin' It and Skylar Lewis in Girl vs. Monster.
