Dr. Curtis "Curt" Connors is a mentioned character in the 2002 film Spider-Man and a supporting character in the sequels Spider-Man 2 and 3. He is a physicist who studies in the evolvement of lizards and a professor at Columbia University who is one of Peter Parker's teachers as well as a colleague and friend of Dr. Otto Octavius before becoming Doctor Octopus.
He is based on the character of the same name from the Spider-Man comics and lightly alludes to Dr Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four comic book series.

Spider-Man 2[]
During one of his lectures, his student Peter was late for class but he never showed up. Curt warned Peter about his grades slipping and showed concern for the young man's well-being. However, Peter assured him he was trying to get everything in his life in order and that his paper would be on Curt's friend, Doctor Otto Octavius and his research. Connors reminded Peter that Otto was his friend and warned him that is paper better be accurate. Later, when meeting Peter Parker, Octavius remembered hearing Peter's name and told him that Connors considered him "brilliant, but lazy". After Peter started to lose his powers and give up his identity as Spider-Man due to post-traumatic stress, he started improving his grades and attendance at school.
At the end of the film, Otto chuckled about his friend's assumption about Peter's laziness once he found out Peter was also Spider-Man.

When Peter discovered the alien symbiote, he took it to Connors to study it. Realizing the dangers of the black goo, Curt advised Peter to stay away from it. After seeing is again, Connor's told Peter that the Symbiote was the thing that was making him darker and more aggressive.

Trivia[]
- Doctor Connors never becomes the Lizard like he did in the comics. However, Dr. Connors' in the video game adaptation of Spider-Man 3 and his Amazing Spider-Man counterpart becomes the Lizard.
- Dr. Connors would have become the Lizard Sam Raimi's fourth Spider-Man been made, along with Vulture and the Vulturess ,(an adaptation of Black Cat's Felicia Hardy)
- In the third film Peter gives Curt the weakened form of the Venom symbiote to study after it dispels from him. However, in the comics, Parker gives the symbiote for Reed Richards (Mr Fantastic of the Fantastic Four) to examine instead.
