Cora Prescott is a major protagonist in Spirit: Riding Free. She is the sister of Jim Prescott and Julian and Olivier's father, the aunt of Julian, Olivier, Lucky, and Polly Prescott, the sister-in-law of the late Milagro Prescott and Kate Prescott, nee Flores. She takes care of her sister-in-law and nieces whenever her brother is busy.

For Olivier and Julian to be Cora and James' nephews, they have to have another sibling. Since they are biologically related, share the same last name and the series is set a time period where women took their husbands' last names, Cora and James are the siblings of the boys' father.
